DIGITAL PLATFORMS LINKED TO EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION

Educational technology has replaced a large part of traditional methods, and its integration into the academic environment has evolved significantly. It has gone from using obsolete materials to implementing complex virtual learning environments. Currently, educational institutions have a wide variety of information sources and technological tools, allowing both students and teachers immediate access to content, communication channels and interactive applications. The main objective of the study was to analyze the impact of technology in the educational context. The research was conducted using a mixed approach, with a descriptive and non-experimental design. The population consisted of 187 students, from which a sample of 127 was selected, as well as the entire teaching staff, composed of 13 teachers. The results showed that educational institutions face a number of challenges, including a shortage of teaching materials, resistance to change on the part of some teachers, connectivity problems and insufficient teacher training. The use of educational technology makes it easier for principals to keep up to date with information issued by the Ministry of Education. It also allows teachers to plan classes using digital resources, and students to use technological tools as a source of consultation and learning.
