Technological progress has posed challenges for education, particularly in the development of teachers' digital competencies; in the Eduardo Granja Garcés Educational Unit, Social Studies teachers face limitations in the access and management of technological tools, which affects their performance and the digital training of their students. The purpose of this study is to design a didactic guide for the strengthening of digital competencies in the mastery of technological tools for teachers in the area of Social Studies. A research methodology based on a descriptive-phenomenological qualitative approach was used, through techniques such as literature review, interview with 1 area director and a focus group with the participation of 7 Social Studies teachers. The results reveal that teachers have basic skills in digital information management, but lack advanced knowledge in communication, content creation, and digital security, which prevents an effective integration of technology in their pedagogical practice. In addition, the technological infrastructure is insufficient and teachers do not receive continuous training, limiting their ability to innovate in the classroom. It is concluded that the implementation of training programs and the creation of digital security protocols are necessary; the design of a didactic guide is relevant to promote digital literacy in teachers and students in order to enhance interactive learning and contribute to the formation of students prepared for the challenges of a digital society.
