Abstract

Learning corners have become a fundamental pedagogical strategy in Early Childhood Education promoting active and meaningful learning, this bibliographic study aimed to analyze the specific influence of this strategy on the holistic development of children through a systematic review of scientific literature from the last five years, the methodology involved a critical analysis of academic articles theses and reviews indexed in databases such as Scopus Web of Science and ERIC using keywords like "learning corners" "play-based learning" and "early childhood education." The findings reveal that the structured implementation of learning corners positively influences the development of cognitive skills such as problem-solving and creativity; socio-emotional skills like cooperation and emotional management; and motor skills, literature shows that "structured play in corners significantly enhances autonomy and intrinsic motivation to learn" (Douglass 2018 p .78), it is concluded that this strategy transcends mere recreational activity becoming a powerful didactic tool that respects individual learning paces, the main limitation lies in the scarcity of longitudinal studies measuring its long-term impact, it is recommended to promote teacher training for the effective design and evaluation of these spaces ensuring their maximum educational potential.
