INFLUENCE OF THE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF THE PORTOVIEJO EXPERIMENTAL STATION ON BUDGET EXECUTION

The budget execution in public entities has faced various difficulties that affect its efficiency, thus requiring a comprehensive analysis. Given this, the present study aimed to analyze the financial management of the Portoviejo Experimental Station and its influence on the budget execution during the period 2019-2023. The research used a mixed approach, combining quantitative analysis of financial data with qualitative interpretation of each finding and its implications. It was of the descriptive and quantitative type, focused on the budget execution of the Portoviejo Experimental Station. Deductive and inductive methods were applied to analyze patterns in financial management. The results show that the Portoviejo Experimental Station evidenced between 2019-2023 an outstanding financial management, characterized by a budget execution close to 100%, strategic modifications in key items and an adaptability that allowed optimizing resources with precision, constituting a model of administrative efficiency. It is concluded that, in the face of budget reductions, it is essential to make a strategic adjustment of resources, ensuring operational efficiency and institutional responsiveness, without jeopardizing the fundamental objectives of the organization.
