SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF DIGITAL COMPETENCES IN HIGHER EDUCATION ACCORDING TO SCOPUS 2000-2024

This article addresses the digital competencies that have been of interest in higher education by virtue of their impact on innovation and efficient improvement of educational processes. In particular, the Scopus database is an important resource for student and professional progress in an increasingly technological world. This study has as main objective to analyze digital competencies in the academic field, from higher education, a qualitative methodology was used, with a systematic review of the literature in the SCOPUS database, for this research was used in a general way 56 articles from a total of 515 publications that were taken initially, considering the period between the years 2019 to 2023. The results show that digital competencies in higher education all the time use information technologies to navigate in digital environments to have a better teaching within the educational fields, taking into account that changes are usually made within the technological world, which are carried out training to improve and learn the management of it. That is, these skills, in particular, allow to address the challenges of a society in a high social and technological growth. Digital competencies are of paramount importance in the changes of each professional in the field of education through the digital environment in terms of the organization of resources, the provision of more data and the dimension of support to the university community. Finally, digital competencies are fundamental and essential to maintain the sustainability and realization of education in the digital age, so that teachers and students will have the tools to live in a highly competitive society.
