The research focused on the implementation of integrated management systems at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM) Pedernales Extension, with the objective of improving institutional efficiency and promoting effective strategies in higher education. Through a mixed methodology that combined qualitative and quantitative analyses, areas of improvement in institutional management were identified through literature review and data collection through interviews and questionnaires. The results revealed challenges in interdepartmental coordination, data collection and analysis, and informed decision making at ULEAM. The implementation of integrated management systems was proposed as a solution to address these challenges, with the hypothesis that they would improve administrative efficiency and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement at the university. The results of this research were expected to be applicable and relevant to decision-making at ULEAM, providing practical and viable recommendations to improve institutional management and the educational quality offered by the university. Close collaboration with key stakeholders at the university ensured the acceptance and adoption of the recommendations, which could have generated a positive impact on the university and the community at large, contributing to the socioeconomic development of the region.
