THE INTEGRATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN TAX ADMINISTRATION, JIPIJAPA CANTON: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract

This article aims to address the integration of artificial intelligence in tax administration within the Jipijapa canton, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities associated with this implementation. The introduction of AI in this context promises significant improvements in the efficiency and accuracy of tax procedures, which could result in more effective collection and clearer management. However, obstacles such as the need for quality data, staff training, ensuring confidentiality and information security are encountered. Despite these challenges, the integration of AI into the Jipijapa canton's tax administration would offer an exceptional opportunity to modernize and optimize its operations, potentially generating long-term benefits for both local government and taxpayers. It is essential to address these challenges early and fully harness the potential of AI to improve tax administration in the canton. Through the use of the qualitative research method, it was possible to collect data that will be fundamental for the research. In the same way, resources such as academic articles were used during the development of the study. Given their abundance of information, these materials contribute significantly to the overall understanding of the integration of artificial intelligence into accounting procedures in the Jipijapa canton.
