Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has gained significant attention in both developed and emerging economies, generating growing interest among academics and researchers. As social enterprises play an increasingly important role in solving social and environmental problems, debate has raged around their impact and their relationship to conventional corporate organizations. This scientific review article focuses on the vitality of social entrepreneurship and its relationship with corporate organizations, highlighting the need to further investigate this interaction. Despite the growing academic interest in social entrepreneurship, there is a knowledge gap in several aspects. One of the key challenges lies in understanding how social enterprises interact with traditional corporate organizations. Often, these two entities operate in different spheres with different objectives, raising questions about how they can collaborate or compete effectively to achieve positive social and economic impact. The article highlights the importance of investigating the mechanisms through which social enterprises and corporate organizations can collaborate and learn from each other. The question also arises of how the results and impact of these interactions on society and the business environment can be adequately measured and evaluated. This critical analysis is essential to guide both researchers and professionals working in the field of social entrepreneurship and corporate organization.
