ANALYSIS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN ECUADOR: CURRENT SITUATION AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

Abstract

The objective of this article is to examine the current context of higher education in Ecuador, it is a key element to understand the relationship between education and the current reality of the country. In this context, short, medium and long-range processes are systematized with the purpose of informing about what is happening in the educational field, providing relevant scenarios and events in the time in which we operate. From a pragmatic approach, it seeks to outline the synchronization of an educational aspect that informs accurately and avoids misinformation. For this reason, it is crucial to examine the current reality of higher education in Ecuador and understand the different actors involved in the educational field. These actors can be educational paradigms, models, theories, philosophical and epistemological currents. The theoretical and practical foundation of sustainability is argued, providing a brief introduction to the subject, developing the theme with a specific methodology and techniques, and finally presenting conclusions supported by a relevant bibliography that enriches the debate in the field of higher education.
