Abstract
The business dynamism is an important element in understanding the capacity of adaptation and renewal of regional economies, especially those affected by economic disruption or changes in the environment in which they operate. The objective of this work is to analyze the dynamic behavior of businesses and the persistence of establishments in Sinaloa during the years 2020 to 2025; this analysis will be made from the study of business births, deaths and persistence, as well as its relationship with the development of economic activity in the state. For the realization of this research, we opted for a quantitative, longitudinal and documentary methodology, using only secondary data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), specifically the Business Demography Survey, the National Statistical Directory of Economic Units and the 2024 Economic Census. The analysis takes into account the time variation, the sectoral composition and the geographic distribution in the business structure. The research aims to find patterns of post-2020 recovery and persistence, and differences in the ability of establishments to remain in business. These results give us evidence to understand the recent evolution of the business structure of Sinaloa and its implications to business administration and regional economic development.
